In the summer time, the Sunnmøre Alps are a great place for mountain biking, both in the valleys and on the peaks.

The roads in the area are also very good for "On-Road" biking - plus you can take your bike with you for free on all the fjord ferries.

The best routes are most probably a mixture of the two - biking up a mountain road which usually leads up to old cow sheds, used by the milk-maids in the olden days. From there, you can push / carry or bike further on dirt tracks over the summit. On the other side, you will find a new mountain road that can possibly take you to another fjord.
